4 Ways to Stay Healthy and Pain-free this Winter

It is almost that time of year where the colorful leaves have all fallen and the winter weather is here to stay. With the change of season comes changes in our bodies, especially those with arthritis and other stiff joints. At Dynamix Physical Therapy, we have four helpful tips that our elite therapists recommend doing this wintry season to make sure you stay healthy and pain-free during the cooler weather and holidays.

1. Stay Active—Establish a good walking routine whether in a church gymnasium, park, or mall.

2. Stretch—Stretches are best if held 30-60 seconds. For a guided list of stretches, check out this blog post.

3. Hydrate—A good goal is to shoot for half of your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 140 pounds, you should drink 70 ounces of water each day.
