Dynamix Physical Therapy is hosting the 2023 “Women Empowering Women Expo” on Wed., March 8, 2023 at the Dynamix of Jackson from 5 to 8 p.m. to debut the newly-added pelvic health physical therapy treatment rooms.

The expo is a way to not only showcase the clinic and new rooms, but it is also a way to connect women in the community with the resources that they may not know are offered in Jackson and the surrounding communities. There will be over 20 vendors set up throughout the space, from creative artists and doctors to aerial silk acrobats and doulas. Door prizes will also be drawn throughout the evening.

Kathleen Ingalls, PT, DPT at the Jackson Dynamix, is one of the planners for this event and shared how they came up with this idea to host a women’s expo.

“At our monthly team meeting in January, we did a SWOT analysis on how we could improve our clinic’s exposure in Jackson and get the community involved,” said Ingalls. “Rachel Harmon, our pelvic health PT, came up with the expo idea, and we all were instantly on board. We knew this would be well-received in the area among our patients and fellow women in business.”

The expo also happens to be on International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

Rachel Harmon, PT, DPT, PRPC is the pelvic health physical therapist who works at the Dynamix of Jackson and will be at the event to answer all questions regarding how physical therapy can help incontinence, postpartum and other uncomfortable situations.

“Now that we have two treatment rooms in our Jackson location, we can start seeing clients who can benefit from pelvic health PT in a calm, private environment,” said Harmon. “We want our patients to feel comfortable when they come in for pelvic health therapy, and I am proud to have this space to better serve our patients and help them along their journey to living a carefree life.”

Both Ingalls and Harmon are looking forward to the event, with the hopes that this expo will connect women with other women who are pursuing their passions, breaking into male-dominated industries or striving to help others feel comfortable in their own skin.

“You can never have too many connections in your community, and this event is designed to make connections and support one another,” said Ingalls.

The event is free and open to the public. The event begins at 5 p.m. on March 8, 2023. Small monetary donations will be collected at the door for The Dream Center of Jackson, a nonprofit organization that helps women and women with children who have experienced crisis in their lives, rendering them homeless.

The Women Empowering Women Expo will be held at Dynamix Physical Therapy of Jackson, located at 117 Bowling Drive. For any questions, please email Kathleen Ingalls at kathleen@dynamix.life or call 731-300-2202.
