Core Stabilization Exercise | Dynamix Physical Therapy

We Use Core Stabilization Exercises.

The “core” is a system of deep muscles that functions to protect and support the spine. Core muscles are normally engaged during periods of static positioning (ex. prolonged sitting or standing), as well as when moving or performing functional activities. Core muscles may be inhibited by injury/joint dysfunction, abnormal posture, pregnancy/childbirth, and/or deconditioning/sedentary lifestyle. Core stabilization exercises are prescribed by Dynamix physical therapists to patients based on the patient’s individualized needs. Core stabilization exercises often serve as the foundation for progression to more advanced functional or sport-specific tasks.
