cory

Cory Wilcox was born in the suburbs of Chicago, before moving to Martin, TN while in elementary school. He graduated from Westview High School and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Martin.  He completed graduate school at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center receiving a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Cory participated in several sports, with a heavy focus on baseball by the time he reached high school. While playing baseball, he was first introduced to physical therapy through various sporting injuries. It was from these injuries and rehabilitation that he decided to pursue physical therapy as a profession and remain involved with helping young athletes.

Following earning his doctorate, Cory began practicing in the outpatient setting where he developed a passion for manual physical therapy. Cory has excelled in his manual therapy training, earning his advanced dry needling certification (Cert-DN) through the Dry Needling Institute as well as receiving advanced spinal manipulative training through the Spinal Manipulation Institute. Cory is on a path to become a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT) through Great Lakes Seminars, a designation held by less than 150 clinicians nationally.  Cory is a senior therapist who regularly sacrifices his time mentoring young therapists through Dynamix University, a residency program within Dynamix.  He is an emerging leader and clinical expert in outpatient rehabilitation.

Cory, like all Dynamix team members keeps a very active lifestyle outside of the clinic. He enjoys traveling with his wife,  riding motorcycles, exercising, and golfing.  Cory has an appetite for growth not only professionally but also personally. He believes in the value of hard work and has a unique determination to succeed.

Favorite Quote:

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I cannot accept not trying.”

Fun Fact:

Cory is known for breaking the leg press multiple times in the Dynamix health club due to his exceptional lower body strength.
