Occupational Therapy

Different from physical therapy, occupational therapy is one part of the multidisciplinary rehab approach to help people of all ages participate in their activities of daily life. From dressing to driving to drawing, OT has limitless ways to help patients regain skills. A big part of therapy is patient education and encouragement as they take the skills they have learned in their sessions and implement them into their day-to-day lives.

Dynamix now offers OT services out of the Dyersburg, Humboldt and Milan locations. Patients can be referred to Dynamix for OT by their doctor or can schedule a free injury assessment with one of our OTs on site.

Meet the OT Team

Elena Taylor, OTR/L, Head of Occupational Therapy Team

Elena was hired as the first occupational therapist for the company and is based at the Milan location. She is originally from Texas and moved to Tennessee several years ago to be closer to family. Her interest in OT began when she was very young when she watched her mother and coworkers help improve the physical abilities of their patients in a fun and creative environment.

JT Wright, OTR/L

JT received his Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in May 2022. He is thrilled to offer his skills in OT in Dyer County and the surrounding areas.

Kaylie Watkins, COTA/L

Kaylie is a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) who is serving patients out of the Humboldt and Milan clinics. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Her senior year of high school, she was introduced to the OT profession. When she saw the combination of work with the human body and giving people back the ability to do the things that are meaningful to them – she was sold. Kaylie truly loves what she does and is excited to bring her OT skills to her patients at Dynamix.
